Job Description:

Full time Industrial Maintenance Electrician required to operate a service truck in the Mississauga/Toronto area. Experience in lighting installations and maintenance, conduit (power distribution, transformers, etc.), PLC and ladder logic knowledge with motor controls is required. The successful candidate should have at least 5 to 7 years experience and possess the following qualities:

Accountabilities:

Must be knowledgeable of and comply with the latest Ontario Hydro Code rules

Customer sales and service oriented with an understanding of the critical importance of customer relationships

Proven problem solving and decision making skills

Provide the highest quality of service at every customer interaction

Ability to interpret customer needs and provide appropriate solutions

Good communication skills (verbal and written)

Ability to work as part of a team and independently

Ability to work well under pressure

Punctuality is a must

Flexible working hours - some evenings and weekends may be required

Enjoys working outdoors

Competencies:

Must have Ontario Electrical Industrial Maintenance certificate with minimum 5 years working experience

Primarily Industrial and Commercial experience

Must have experience with conduit installations

Must be able to drive a standard pick up truck

Must have a clean driving record

Must demonstrate reliability, enthusiasm, flexibility and good judgment

Must have a presentable appearance

Good listening skills

Takes initiative - acts within short term

Preference with having PLC experience and machinery/motor controls

Experience in operating a Genie hoist would be an asset

St. John's safety course would be an asset

General maintenance skills, ie, carpentry, welding, mechanical, are also an asset
